My debut memoir, If You Don’t Like This, I Will Die (Simon & Schuster) came out last week on August 12, 2025. (Did you know that all books come out on Tuesdays? It’s an industry-wide agreement—just a little fun thing I’ve learned throughout this process.)
This book is not about how to be an influencer. Rather, it’s a chilling (and gravely honest—I left no stone unturned) look at what I went through projecting the image of a perfectly curated wellness cool girl. While the world watched and made my smoothie bowls and avocado toasts, I was unraveling, and this book tells you everything that was happening behind the scenes. Pregnancy, stealing, cancelation, and self-abandonment, over and over.
It’s available in hardcover, e-book, and audiobook wherever books are sold, but here are some of my favorite retailers to pickup the book yourself and give it a read (or listen, for my audiobook lovers, I narrated it myself.)
I am so grateful for all the kind messages and notes from readers (some of whom finished it within hours of it coming out). It’s been so validating to hear from other ex-influencers, canceled people, and/or anyone experiencing influencer/content creation/wellness/social media burnout.
I’ve been surprised at the amount of followers who have messaged me privately to say that they went on the same journey as me, almost at the same time. Social media first pulled them in when they were lost; recovering from a trauma, illness, heartbreak, or just the general pain of being in your 20s. They turned to wellness content to feel better, ended up even more consumed by it, stepped away completely, and eventually came back with an entirely new perspective.
35 years old. 17 years sharing myself online. Eleven years since I’ve been considered an influencer. Three years of working on this book, and now it’s out!
I’ve had a whirlwind week, selling out The Strand, going on
with then flying to LA for 36 hours for my event at North Fig Bookshop with . And it’s not over yet (Pequot Library in Southport, CT 9/4!), but I finally had a moment to breathe this weekend, and breathe I did. I spent the weekend nesting and grounding with Jack and it was what my body and soul needed.I’ve got a full week ahead of press and podcasts interviews, but I just wanted to check in and say thank you to anyone who has already ordered the book, and a reminder to pick it up today if you haven’t!
If you live in New York, I’ll be on Good Day NY Friday morning at 9:20.
All my love and gratitude as I navigate this wild season. I’ll be back in a week or two with another book-launch check-in. Thank you for being here.
