You may have noticed a new name, look, and logo (I drew the spoon by hand). Welcome to Hand Wash Only, a 3x weekly newsletter where I return to what I’ve always loved most—sharing my life through food, wellness, rituals, and style.
Here’s what you can expect from this newsletter going forward.
Every Monday, you can expect to feel nourished. I’ll share a recipe, provision, or food-related edition. Think seasonal recipes like crispy chicken thighs with jammy basil tomatoes in the summer and thick whipped hot chocolate in the winter (can’t wait). Sometimes, in lieu of a recipe, you’ll find posts like what's in my pantry or what we cooked/ate/bought at the general store during our weekend in Vermont.
Every Wednesday, I’ll share style notes, whether it’s an outfit, a vintage chicken wire basket hanger in my kitchen, or the best no-ride-up undies.
Every Friday, I’ll share a ritual, tool, or product I stand by. Not a whole list of links, but one, time-tested practice I still love: think tongue scraping, facial massage, custom stationery, or my favorite perfumes.
One deep-dive essay, once a month, covering topics like living with the seasons, entering married life, leaving Brooklyn, preparing for a baby, and house guest etiquette passed down to me through generations.
Free vs. paid
FREE LIST: The recipes, style section, and rituals will be free for everyone through the end of 2025, inviting you to get a glimpse at what we’ll be talking about at Hand Wash Only.
PAID LIST: All of the food/style/ritual posts plus one monthly essay. The first, How I’m preparing for the cold weather, is coming on Tuesday, 9/16. The comment section on all posts will only be open to paid members.
If you were a paid subscriber to Offline Time, you don’t need to do anything—I’m so grateful you’re staying, and I know you’ll love it!
If you’d prefer not to join me in this next phase, you can adjust your membership whenever it feels right.
You may be wondering: what happened to Offline Time?
Writing it was healing for me; it was the container I needed to gather my thoughts and tell the story of logging off.
In the weeks before my book release, I realized I had said all I needed to say in that lane. That work now lives in my social media memoir, If You Don’t Like This, I Will Die. My book and Offline Time gave me the space to begin again.
Hand Wash Only is LFA 2.0, but about life in my mid-thirties: preparing for motherhood, finding joy in wellness again, and sharing what it’s taken to get here (oh, what a journey!) with a book out in the world. Many of you have been here since the beginning, and it feels like we’re growing into these places together.
I can’t wait to begin sharing this thoughtfully curated newsletter with you, and we kick off tomorrow, September 8th, with Crispy Chicken Thighs with Jammy Basil Tomatoes & Orzo.
Thank you so much for being with me through all the different stages, and I’m so excited for this next one. I’ll see you tomorrow—

Yes! Another page turned in LFA - Thank you for continuing to let us follow along! 🤍
