The Frozen Egg Diaries #3: The Trigger Shot
A quick check-in as I prepare for egg retrieval tomorrow!
Welcome to #3 of the Frozen Egg Diaries, where I share my experience with egg freezing. If you’re new here, please read The Decision and The Injections to get caught up on the series. It’s my hope that these diaries help you or someone you know feel less alone as we battle the issues that face the modern woman today: in technology, the romantic landscape, gender, and family.
This is for paid subscribers only. Thanks for comin’ along.
Hi everyone. Sharing a video entry as I have 20 hours to go until egg retrieval (the final stage of this process). They told me not to wear fragrance (even deodorant) as this can harm the eggs during retreival. There are so many little things that feel so big. So big.
Cleaning, putting clothes away, doing dishes, writing, really doing much of anything right now feels really hard. Even reading feels hard. I don’t know how people work “normally” through this. I’m not necessarily in pain, just feeling a LOT of things as well as mild physical discomfort and very real exhaustion (I’m napping daily).
